The sensuous Shilpa Shetty, winner of last season's Big Brother UK has been roped in to host the 'Indian' version of the show. So get ready for a bigger, better, meaner and gruesome real-time drama, 'BIGG BOSS SEASON 2' everyday (Monday to Sunday), at 10:00 p.m. on COLORS.In today's episode Shilpa Shetty introduced the 14 new participants(newsmakers), coming from different sphere of lives. The challenge is to survive a popularity SMS poll, while co-living for 84 days under constant camera surveillance with other housemates. Watch them as they tussle to cope with the tremendous social pressure, back stabbing and bitching to stand a chance of winning the title and the large cash prize of Rs 75 lakhs!
The Participants are:
Monica Bedi -the actress whose name was connected to don Abu Saleem and was behind bars regarding bomb blasts in Mumbai.
Zulfi Sayed- He is a model who then turned in to an actor. He has done many advertisement campaigns. He has also done few movies.
Raja Chaudhary- Husband of the famous TV actress Shweta Tiwari (Prerna of Kasauti Zindagi Kii). Last year his name came in to news for beating his wife. Now with this show he has the chance to clear up his image.
Ketaki Dave- Daksha chachi of Ekta’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bhau thi, got famous by her tag line ara ara. She was in the 2nd season of Nach Baliye with her husband and now on this show.
Rakhi Tandon- the very cute Sweetie of Zee's hit serial- Hum Panch, is back. After marrying Raveena Tandon's brother Rakhi took a break from work. Recently she was seen in channel 9 x's show- Jiya Jale.
Sambhavna Seth- one of the item girls of bollywood who has done few movies like 36 China Town, Zameer etc.
Rahul Mahajan- Son of late Bhartiya Janta Party leader- Pramod Mahajan. He came in to news when he was hospitalised for the drug abuse.
Ehsaan Quereshi- the well known comedian of Laughter Challenge. He is having a very unique style of comedy. Now people will see the other side of this comedian.
Payal Rohtagi- She is the item girl of bollywood. She is a computer engineer by profession.
Sanjay Nirupam- former Rajya Sabha member who was in Shiv Sena before and now has joined Congress will also live here with other celebrities.
Ashutosh Kaushik- he is the winner of MTV Roadies 5. Now he is back with Big Boss 2.
Debojit Saha- This singer is well known for his melodious voice. He is the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 and recently has participated in Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar.
Aleena Walia- She is the only non celeb in the show. She is just 21 and the youngest participant of the show.
Jade Goody- She is the first international participant of the show. She was Shilpa Shetty's companion in Big Brother 2. In fact she was the one who put the comments of racisim on Shilpa. Now she is again competing in this show, probably to clear up her image.
